As residents of the Epernay neighborhood, we would like to respectfully submit this petition to the City of Columbus, requesting a series of safety improvements to our neighborhood streets. First and foremost, the five streets within our community are in urgent need of resurfacing. The current pothole patching efforts have proven insufficient, and the roads are increasingly unsafe. Additionally, we propose the installation of no fewer than three speed bumps along Leclerc Place, a street that sees considerable traffic passing through the neighborhood. We also believe that the addition of speed limit signage at both ends of each of the five streets and a ‘Children at Play’ sign at each of the three entrances to our neighborhood will greatly enhance safety by raising awareness of the risks posed to pedestrians, especially children. These improvements are essential to maintaining a high quality of life and ensuring the safety of all Epernay residents.
